 Arabic Music movement

old music and singers: since (1900 - 1980)

(Although the arab music and art started before this time with many centuries )

But I love to start with the great art and artists . And with their romance and original  times of art and beauty  .

No doubt that  life with these singers and musicians was more beauty , soft and calm .Which added to our life after 100 years more flexibility with accepting the beauty art and enjoy  while listening to them .

Egyptian music is an outreach of the Arabic music model but the Egyptians shaped with more original and acceptance tools and tones .  adding  new sense of Arabic items that helped this music to give the Egyptian fingerprint .

Let's say and speak about the head and  master of the changing in the Egyptian music and songs , Mr. Said Darwesh .

who composed the  model of  the Egyptian  types.

And introducing the Egyptian  personality simply .More than that  he  imprint for the coming generation a successful way to advance the Egyptian music to be not only a local model but an international  musical tradition  is used now through all the countries

 notice :

May be some of the visitors ask me .. why you don't mention anything about the music in the pharanoiac times ?

the answer is:

it is under my research now , specially after I discovered a lot of lairs allegation about this section..

for example . it is known that who created the  scale and the reed pipe was Fethaghorth in the Greece centuries . but the truth was revealed when the Egyptian discovered an ancient handwriting returning to the old centuries for the Egyptian life and with it the scale more we discovered many types of reed pipe.

for this reason , I loved to deep my search before I talk about the ancient music or songs but who love to know more must come and see ordinary Egyptian and see how we love our music and translate them into dancing movement.

at least our dance still as a main movement that we (Egyptians ) inherit from our Egyptian grand .

the new type of music (the youthful) 1980-2006

Egyptian singers like to add the new western types of our music and songs so now you can find a mix between the Arabic models and the western one . although that it is still beauty anyhow but the new invention of video clip spoiled any beauty of meaning and sense for it...

The artist of the century:

Sayed Darwish

We sing many of his songs thinking that they were composed recently, not at the beginning of the last century. Songs like Zurouni, Salma Ya Salama, El Helwa Di, Ahu Da Elli Sar, Til'et Ya Mahla Nourhe, El Bahr Byedhak Leh, are just a few of his songs which we sing in our parties and hear frequently on the radio, performed by famous contemporary artists.

He also composed several Muwashahat which are popular until today, such as Ya Shadi-L-Alhan and Ya Bahjat al-Rouh (altogether he composed 17 Muwashahat), in addition to 10 Adwar (pl. of Dawr or Dor) and a number of national chants, such as Biladi Biladi, and over 230 songs which he composed for 30 theatre plays and comical operettas, and two theatre plays which he composed all by himself.
Sayid Darwish (1892-1923)
was to die at the dawn of a striking career, at the age of 31, but he had a tremendous influence on Arabic music. He was both an original and experimental artist. His originality is well observed particularly in his Muwashaht and Adwar, in which he abided by the traditional forms, although he revolutionized the content and the musical expression. On the other hand, his stage production was westernised and the traditional instruments were replaced by an European ensemble. His greatest contribution was the fact that he revolutionized the music of his time without abandoning its roots and identity.
Here we selected two of his well known works, a classical Dawr which he composed in 1923, and a popular song which he composed in 1919 (In this song, which has also been performed in Greek and French, you can hear the piano with the orchestra, while in the Dawr the traditional "takht" instruments are used, as was the case with all his compositins of this genre). Along with the original songs, we presented re-arranged versions by So'ad Muhammad and Firqat al-Musiqa al-Arabiyah, which reproduced many works of great Egyptian artists of that period.
